Since my GOLDEN* birthday is this year
I need GOLDEN shoes.
And probably some gold on a dress too.

So here are some lovely GOLDEN shoes,
from my favorite shoe brand Seychelles:

* for those who aren't aware,
according to wikipedia,
a golden birthday is:
"A person's Golden or Grand Birthday,
also referred to as their
'Lucky Birthday',
'Champagne Birthday' or
'Star Birthday',
occurs when they turn the age of their birth day
(e.g., when someone born on the 25th of the month turns 25)"

all pictures from Seychelles.
also, be prepared for more gold.
My birthday is about six weeks away...

Unfortunately most of this is true:

Lots of strawberries.
And cream.
And then I will make this cake:

And I will be strawberried out.
And probably a little food coma'd out.
But probably very satisfied.

sinful

Royal Wedding stuff is still popping up on the internet.
And I LOVED this description about the dress.
detail of the exquisite wedding gown, put together by hand by sarah burton of alexander mcqueen, it is a perfect intermingling of tradition and modernity, with a bodice of ivory satin made of hand-cut english lace and french chantilly lace, over ivory and white satin gazar {a sheer, lightweight silk organza with a glaze-like sheen and moderate stiffness}; individual flowers were hand cut from lace and hand-engineered onto the ivory silk tulle to create the design, which features rose, thistle, daffodil, and shamrocks, the national flowers of england, ireland, scotland, and wales; 58 gazar & organza covered buttons ran up the back

Every summer I get excited for fresh produce.
And then I search for this Peak-Season Map at Epicurious.com

And its interactive.
I love interactive things.
I must secretly be seven.

Check out the map HERE.

"Pretty isn't in a dress, a lipstick, or a perfect body.  Pretty radiates from a confident, feminine, comfortable soul.  Dress your soul in these qualities first, and you will look beautiful no matter how simply you are dressed."

Pretty version of a pretty song.

I'm not a huge fan of pasta.
I don't think, "You know what I want? PASTA!"
But I'm totally thinking that with the description given to this pasta dish.

I'm making Peanut Butter Cookies
for an open house for our new church building.
(PBC's were the assigned cookie)
so now I'm looking for fun and interesting versions.

Option 1:
I really like marshmallow for some reason.

Option 2:
The browned butter makes them different, but they don't look different.
Option 3:

Option 4:
Loaded Peanut Butter Cookies

Just a few of the option.

I like this quote:

"whatever comes,"
she said, "cannot alter one thing.
If I am a princess in rags and tatters,
i can be a princess inside. I
t would be easy to be a princess
if I were dressed in cloth of gold,
but it is a great deal more of a triumph
to be one all the time when no one knows it."
