I love butterscotch and pumpkin.
I'm pretty sure these are going to be my next cookie project.

And then I got distracted and looked up Harry Potter recipes.
You know, recipes of food that made appearances in any one of the seven HP books.

Pumpkin Pasties
Cauldron Cakes
Butterbeer
Pumpkin Juice
Chocolate Cockroaches
Chocolate Frogs
Peppermint Toads
Acid Pops

You get my drift.

But maybe I should just stick to delicious tasting cookies.
I'm sure these will be divine.

Maybe when I get off my baking cake kick
I'll start making pie.
And when I do, I'm starting with this baby:

Mmmmmmmmmm!
Two of my favorite things.
Two of Lisa's favorite things.

I can't wait.

Well, Lisa is back. She got back on Saturday. But I kind of like looking through this blog and seeing the things I've found over the internet. SO, I'm going to keep doing it. I think...

I think this is a funny card.
There is something about bacon that makes things delicious.

And, it's letterpress.
I love letterpress.

Found here.

Dear Lisa,

What do you think of these purple Toms?
I would rather have the gray but they're sold out.
But these are wool and I think they'd be great for Fall.

Thoughts?

Sincerely,
L

Dear Lisa,

If I opted out of having a diamond on my left hand,
I'd want a really cool ring like these.

Aren't they cool?
I think they are.

Sincerely,

Dear Lisa,

Check out this awesome picture!

It broke the camera but how cool.
Actually, my favorite part may be the guy with the cigar and turban...

L

Dear Lisa,

If you were in town this weekend we would go shopping.
Why?
Because EVERYTHING is on sale at Anthropologie.
I need to keep myself from online shopping.
Well, actually online purchasing.
Currently in my Anthro shopping bag:

And that's not all I wanted to put in there.
I just decided I should stop before I drool on my keyboard.

Korf told me I should be a personal shopper.
That sounds fun, but being a shopper for myself sounds even better.
That would go on my "what-I-would-do-as-a-trophy-wife-list".

Sincerely,
L

PS. But really, I wish you were here to shop with.
I'll see who I can convince to go with me.
I have two dresses to return to Anthro, so it will basically be like store credit.
And if you were wondering what I want the most from those pictures,
I can't decide.
But it might be the second dress.
It's wool.
And looks cozy for fall/winter.

Dear Lisa,

Sorry for another wedding post.
But you ARE 27 now, perhaps you should be thinking about marriage more seriously.

I love the lace and color of this dress.

 Ooooh! Pretty!

Sincerely,
L

Dear Lisa,

I think this is a really cool wedding.
I wish I was creative enough to think of details like this myself.

I think the giant flowers are SO cool.

The bride and groom live in Denmark so they had their friends who couldn't make it paint them a banner. Cool huh?

And they had bundt cakes!
You haven't been around, but I'm OBSESSED with my bundt cake pan.
Just. You. WAIT!

Someday, when I get married, I want a really awesomely creative wedding.
It probably won't happen though.
But, it WILL be pretty.
It will be.

Sincerely,
L

Dear Lisa,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

If you were here, I'd decorate.
Maybe have lots of balloons.
Or a cute little banner.
Or maybe something on your door...

Instead, I'm going to make a cake.
And we'll eat it without you.
And I already have the main ingredient waiting at home: apples.

Look how delicious this looks!

Mmmmm!
I have a thing for caramel lately.

While I'm eating this deliciousness I hope you have a fabulous birthday.
The Philippines is lucky to have you this year for it!

Sincerely,

Dear Lisa,

I hope you flew on Cebu Pacific Airlines.
And I hope you saw the safety dance.

If you didn't have that privilege,
here it is:

Awesome huh?

Dear Lisa,

Have you heard of the online brand EmersonMade
Their clothes are what I could only describe as, delicious.
I want a handful of things but also don't quite think I should pay the price.
So, I will just drool and covet.

Exhibit A: Pockets Skirt
(chickens though cute, are not included, neither are the Hunters)

Exhibit B: Go Dress

I have also come to the conclusion this weekend that I just look better in skirts and dresses.
Therefore, I should have LOTS.
Wouldn't you agree that is a wise decision?

Hope you liked,
L

Oh Lisa!

Look how DELICIOUS this cake looks!
MMMMMM!

Ok, actually, that doesn't really look THAT good, it kind of looks interesting...
How could that NOT be good?
No way.
It's going to be delicious.
Maybe we'll enjoy it with you, maybe we'll enjoy it without you,
L

Dear Lisa,

In case you are wondering, I'm having a MUCH better week.
I was sick Friday.
And enjoyed being lazy at home on both Saturday and Sunday.
I'm back and ready to find neat things for you.
Including finding a GREAT recipe for cake to celebrate your upcoming birthday with.

Sincerely,
L
